The first competition of the year turned out to be a sweet victory for Sandro Antonio B. Sia (12I). Sandro won the Gold in the Men’s Sabre Juniors Division (Individual Category) in the 1st leg of the Philippine Fencing Association (PFA) Minime Juniors and Cadet Championships held at the PhilSports Arena Fencing Hall last January 19, 2020. The XS Fencing Team Captain worked his way up to the finals, battling the UAAP giants from ADMU, UE, UST, UP, and FEU.

Sandro shared the podium with his good friend and fellow Xaverian, Daniel Britanico (XS 2019) of ADMU who won the silver medal.
