The Xavier School Midgets Varsity Chess team edged the competition for a runaway victory in the Private Schools Athletic Development Association (PRADA) Chess Tournament. Aside from winning the championship in the team event, Xavier players dominated the individual boards topping 4 and finishing second in 2.
The PRADA tournament is one of the priority tournaments of the XS chess program as it is participated in by schools with topnotch chess programs like Ateneo de Manila University, La Salle Greenhills, Marist School, International School Manila, Don Bosco Technical Institute, and Notre Dame of Greater Manila.
