Xavier Fencing Team’s Sandro Antonio Sia of G12I, won the bronze medal in the Philippine Fencing Association (PFA) Championships Men’s Sabre – Junior Division (Individual Category). The event was held in the PhilSports Arena Fencing Hall last November 16-17, 2019.

Fencers in the Juniors Division (ages 20 and below) from ADMU, DLSU, UP, UE, UST, FEU, MIIS, QC-Sep, Canlas Fencing, and Republic Fencing we among those who participated in the event.

Sandro reached rank 1 after winning all his bouts in the pooling. The XS Team Captain worked his way up and won the bronze during the quarter finals against UP.

“It’s my last playing year for Xavier and I want to make it count – my little way of giving back to my Alma Mater,” Sandro says.
