The 2019 Division Schools Press Conference, a student journalism competition sanctioned by the Department of Education, was held on September 11, 12, and 17 at the Pinaglabanan Elementary School. Student journalists from Stallion, the official student publication of Xavier School, San Juan, joined the conference and the following students emerged victorious:

Ken Jeffry Lim (11E) – ika-3 puwesto sa Pagsulat ng Balita
Charles G. Khao (11C) – ika-4 na puwesto sa Pagsulat ng Pang-agham at Teknolohiya
Elijah Ng (11F) – ika-4 na puwesto sa Pagwawasto at Pag-uulo ng Balita
Nathan O’neill C. Tecson (11B) – ika-4 na Puwesto sa Pagsulat ng Editoryal
Jose Franco C. Castillo (12A) – 1st Place in Feature Writing
Russell Scott Yu Kho (12E) – 2nd Place in News Writing
Andrei Ledesma (10D) – 2nd Place in Editorial Writing
Philmon Sedrick K. Wee (12B) – 2nd Place in Science and Technology Writing
Justin Chua (12H) – 4th place in Editorial Cartooning
Lance Gavin Pama (9C) – 4th Place in Sportswriting
The Regional Schools Press Conference, the next level of the competition, is scheduled on October 8, 2019. Here, student journalists from all over the National Capital Region will come together to compete.
