Xavier School athletes will lead the charge for San Juan City (SJC) in the upcoming National Capital Region (NCR) Regional Meet. The athletes earned this honor after XS teams dominated the Elementary and Secondary Boys divisions of SJC Division Meet held last November 20 – 22. All XS teams won their respective assignments to qualify for the NCR meet.
The XS teams that competed in the division meet to qualify to the regionals are:
- Athletics – Elementary and Secondary
- Badminton – Elementary and Secondary
- Basketball – Secondary
- Chess – Elementary
- Table Tennis – Elementary and Secondary
- Taekwondo – Elementary and Secondary
The XS Secondary Volleyball and Elementary and Secondary Swimming teams had their division qualifiers earlier in October, and both teams breezed through their respective events.
XS will also be representing San Juan in
- Archery – Secondary
- Chess – Secondary
- Football – Elementary and Secondary
- Tennis – Elementary and Secondary
The division meet opening ceremonies were held at the Operation Brotherhood Montessori Center – Greenhills where City Mayor Francis Zamora, together with Dr. Cecille Carandang, was the guest speaker. Palarong Pambansa 2019 Archery Gold Medalist Ryan Jacob Tanco (11D) was the torch bearer who lit the division meet cauldron.
